Daimler AG Daimler AG is an automobile manufacturer in Germany and one of the world's largest luxury car manufacturers, truck manufacturers and commercial vehicle manufacturers. Daimler was the first automobile company founded by Carl Benz in 1886 and merged with Daimler engine company founded by Gottlieb Daimler in 1890 in 1920s. Daimler and Chrysler merged into one in 1998 It is DaimlerChrysler automobile company, which separated in 2007. The latter now forms the Fiat Chrysler group with Fiat. Daimler's brands include: Mercedes Benz, Mercedes AMG, Maybach, smart, unimoc, and holds shares of Aston Martin, Tesla and other companies.
