The National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) is a geographic intelligence agency under the U.S. government. It was established in 1996 and headquartered in Bethesda. It is a subordinate organization of the U.S. Department of defense, mainly responsible for collecting, analyzing and publishing geographic intelligence.
