German Science Foundation

The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) is the largest scientific research promotion institution in Europe, headquartered in Bonn. Its main responsibility is to fund the scientific research of German universities and public research institutions. DFG provides about 1.3 billion euros a year to promote scientific research, and sets up Leibniz award to reward outstanding scientists in various scientific fields working in Germany.
