World Economic Forum The World Economic Forum (WEF; also known as Davos Forum) is a non-profit organization in the form of a foundation. Its predecessor is the European Management Forum established in 1971. It was officially renamed the world economic forum in 1987 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The purpose of the forum is to study and explore the problems existing in the world economic field and promote international economic cooperation and exchanges. However The current status of the forum is the lack of truly knowledgeable and technical experts, important business and political figures, and focusing on the political affairs in the eyes of the media (such as global climate change and AIDS in Africa).
