Scottish television

Scottish television (STV) is a television station in Scotland. Scottish television now holds two independent television (ITV) licenses, one for northern and central Scotland, which were previously owned by granbian television (now legally known as STV North) and Scottish television (now legally known as STV central). STV central is headquartered in Glasgow and STV north is headquartered in Aberdeen. Scottish television began broadcasting high-definition television in 2010. UTV in Scotland and Northern Ireland has not used ITV brand for broadcasting.
