Seoul University (formerly known as Seoul University) is the first comprehensive university in Korea and the top university in Asia. It is also the oldest national comprehensive university in Korea. Its predecessor is the old Imperial University in Beijing, which was renamed Seoul National University in 1946. The current Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki Moon and many South Korean Presidents were born in Seoul University.
