Voice of America (VOA) is a national propaganda organization in the United States. It has radio and television stations, ranking second among the five major broadcasters in the world (the other four are BBC, Radio France Internationale, voice of Germany and Radio Netherlands Internationale). VOA was established by the wartime intelligence agency in February 1942 and headquartered in Washington. It mainly provides news and current affairs, English teaching, special columns, popular music and so on.
