Overseas War Veterans Association (veterans of foreign wars; VFW) is a national Veterans' organization in the United States. It was formed by the merger of three veterans' associations established just after the Spanish American war in 1899 from 1913 to 1914. The organization aims to help veterans enter the society, safeguard the interests of veterans, and establish projects such as medical treatment, social welfare and protection of women's rights and interests.
