New rapid transit (SBS transit) is one of the two major public transport organizations in Singapore (the other is SMRT group). It was established in 1978, formerly known as "Singapore Bus Co., Ltd." and is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. It mainly operates subway, light rail system and bus business.
