Nook is an e-book reader launched by Barnes & noble, the largest retail chain bookstore in the United States. It was officially launched in 2009. It is based on the Android operating system and manufactured by Foxconn. In the first quarter of 2011, the sales volume of nook exceeded that of the similar product Kindle launched by Amazon for the first time.
