The Detroit Pistons is a team in the central division of the NBA Eastern League. It was founded in 1941 and joined the NBA in 1948. It is home to the Auburn mountain palace Stadium (the famous Auburn mountain palace fight occurred in 2004). The pistons have won the NBA championship three times and the league championship five times.
