Chemspider is an online chemical database, which was put into trial operation in 2007 and officially released in March 2008. Headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, the database records more than 35 million molecules and obtains data from 490 sources such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of genes and genomes.
