The United States National Academy of Sciences (NAS) is a scientific organization in the United States. It was founded in 1863. It is composed of famous scientists. There are more than 2000 academicians of the National Academy of Sciences and more than 400 foreign academicians. It publishes the famous academic periodical, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
