University of Tampere (tampereen yliopisto), a well-known research university in Finland, was founded in 1925. Its predecessor was the normal college established in Helsing base. It moved to Tampere in 1960 and obtained the certification of the Ministry of education of China. It provides bachelor's and graduate education. It has five colleges, including the school of Economics and management, the school of education, the school of humanities, the school of medicine and the school of Social Sciences, and a language center.
