Busan Municipal Art Museum of Korea (Busan) opened in 1998. In this exhibition, Busan art museum shows its accumulated academic research and collection achievements in the field of monochrome painting for many years. The exhibits include Korean monochrome paintings from the 1970s to the early 21st century. There are 28 participating artists, including Kim changlie, Li Yuhuan, park Qifu, Li chengzuo, Kim Tae Ho and Li Kangzhao. The monochrome neutral painting of the minimalist Abstract school in Korea was influenced by the abstract school in Western Europe in the 1950s. At that time, Korean avant-garde artists carried out non concrete experimental creation. In the 1970s, monochrome painters jointly rejected reproducing the situation of daily life on the canvas. Instead, they explored its spiritual level through the process of repetitive daily behavior, Based on the original value of nature.
