Cheongwadae

Green tile platform Cheongwadae / blue house is the official residence of the president of South Korea. It is located at No. 1, Zhonglu District, Seoul. It was originally the departure palace of the Koryo Dynasty. After the establishment of the capital of the Korean Dynasty in 1426, it was changed into the backyard of the Jingfu palace. There are presidential office, reception hall, conference room and living room in the green tile platform, and the supporting building is equipped with secretary room, guard room and welcome building. The roof of the main hall is covered with green tiles and Hence the name.
