Square is a mobile payment company in the United States. It was founded in 2009 and headquartered in San Francisco. Square launched its first application in 2010, providing services in the United States, Canada and Japan. In 2014, square was rated as one of the 50 Smartest Companies in the world by MIT Technology Review.
