The American Film Institute (AFI) is a non-profit organization in the United States. It was founded by the national art foundation in 1967. The AFI Film Festival was held in 1987. In 1998, in order to commemorate the centennial of American film, AFI issued a Centennial Series, including AFI Centennial films, AFI Centennial stars, etc.
