Eindhoven University of Technology (TU / E for short, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven in Dutch), formerly known as the Technische Hogeschool Eindhoven founded by the Dutch government on June 15, 1956. Eindhoven Polytechnic University (TU / E), founded in 1956, was a Polytechnic College at that time. Now it has developed into a medium-sized Polytechnic University with 8 departments. It is the second largest Polytechnic University in the Netherlands, second only to Delft Polytechnic University. Its main research fields are energy (especially clean energy) and life sciences (medicine and medical equipment) and intelligent mobile (advanced electric vehicles, intelligent transportation, etc.).
