Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is a Japanese aerospace research and development agency. It was composed of three aerospace related institutions in 2003. It is headquartered in Tokyo and subordinate to the Ministry of education, culture, sports, science and technology. The main launch center is the seed Island Space Center.
