The New York Philharmonic is an American orchestra. Founded in 1842, it is one of the oldest orchestras in the United States. It moved from Carnegie Hall to Lincoln Center in 1962. The New York Philharmonic has completed the American Premiere of works such as the Ninth Symphony and the fantasy symphony.
