The national optical observatory (NOAO) is an astronomical research organization in the United States. Founded in 1982, it is located in Tucson, Arizona. It is subordinate to the University astronomical research association. It has Kitt Peak National Observatory, toloro mountain Inter American Observatory, the National Solar Observatory and the twin Science Center of the national optical observatory.
