Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) is the national public broadcaster of Canada. It was established in 1936 through legislation passed by the parliament of the Canadian government. It is one of the largest cultural institutions in the country. Its website provides comprehensive news, entertainment, sports, finance, health and CBC TV and CBC Radio guides. CBC broadcasts in two official languages: English and French. CBC has four national television networks, including Two are comprehensive channels and two are 24-hour news and information channels. These channels broadcast through cable, satellite and 48 local and affiliated television stations throughout the country.
