Tokyo Stock Exchange (Japanese: Tokyo Stock Exchange; English: Tokyo Stock Exchange; referred to as TSE and TSE) is one of the four major stock exchanges in the world (the other three are the New York Stock Exchange, the London Stock Exchange and NASDAQ). They are also the economic center of Japan. They were established on May 15, 1878 and headquartered in hashidocho, Japan, Central District, Tokyo. Their index is the Topix Nikkei average index.
