International Military Sports Council

The Conseil International du Sport military (CISM, IMSC) was founded in 1948, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. It is an international military sports organization with 133 members (2014). The purpose of the International Military Sports Council is to enhance friendship through sports (friendship through sport) to promote friendly relations between the armed forces of member countries through the establishment of various military sports competitions. The international military sports regularly holds the world military games (once every four years), and many individual competitions such as skydiving, shooting and military pentathlon are held every year. China joined the international military Sports Council in 1978.
