National Art Foundation

The national endowment for the art (NEA) is an independent organization dedicated to providing funding for excellent art. It was proposed and established by the U.S. Congress in 1965. Its purpose is to provide funds and help for outstanding art, creativity and various artistic innovations that benefit individuals or society. Among them, the Jazz Master Award established by the foundation (NEA Jazz Masters) is the highest honor of American jazz musicians. There are only 7 winners a year, and it has a high popularity.
