Swedish central bank Sveriges Riksbank (also known as the National Bank of Sweden and the Bank of Sweden) is the National Central Bank of Sweden and the oldest central bank in the world. It was established in 1668 and headquartered in Stockholm. In 1968, the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Swedish central bank, the Swedish Central Bank funded the establishment of the Swedish bank economics award - Nobel Prize in memory of Alfred Nobel Moore economics award.
