Fifth third bank is a diversified financial holding company in the United States. It originated from the Bank of the Ohio Valley founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1858. In 1871, it was acquired by the third National Bank of the United States. In the early 20th century, the third National Bank and the Fifth National Bank (Fifth National Bank) was merged into a more current name; in 1975, the May third bank company was established.
