Mount Holyoke College (also translated: Mount Holyoke College) is the earliest women's College of higher learning in the United States and the "elder sister" of the "Seven Sisters" alliance. It was founded by Mary Lloyd South Hadley, a small town in western Massachusetts founded by Mary Lyon in 1837, is famous for its excellent teaching and scholarship, ranking No. 41 in the 2015u.s. news ranking of American colleges of Arts and Sciences.
