Polish news agency (Pap) is the national news agency of the people's Republic of Poland, established in 1944, formerly known as the Polish telegraph news agency, established in 1918. The Polish news agency is directly led by the Polish Council of ministers and the Central Committee of the Polish unified workers' party. It is mainly responsible for publishing major news on behalf of the country, providing telegraph releases to domestic news units, publishing news abroad and publishing news publications.
