Athens Yao University, founded in 1859, is a comprehensive private university including many departments, such as the school of Arts, the school of business, the school of law and so on. It was initially a public university and was upgraded to a university in 1959. Athenian Yao University in Manila is one of the four famous universities in the Philippines.
