Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is the most important political and economic organization in the Gulf region. It was established on May 25, 1981 and headquartered in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Its member states include six countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the GCC is that all GCC Member States fully Give play to the advantages of the same language and religion and similar economic structure, and actively promote the process of economic integration.
