Ghana News Agency (GNA) is the official news agency of Ghana. It was established on March 5, 1957 (Ghana declared independence on March 6 on the eve of Ghana's independence). With the purpose of "spreading true and unbiased news", it is the first news agency in sub Saharan Africa.
