SHARP (Sharp Corporation; シャプ Co., Ltd.) is a large electrical and electronic company in Japan. It was founded in 1912 and headquartered in Osaka. Its predecessor was wasakawa electric industry, which started with automatic pencil. In 2012, sharp ranked 354 among the Fortune Global 500.
