The African Union (AU) is an all African political entity. Its predecessor is the "organization of African Unity" established in 1963 and reorganized in South Africa in 2002. The main purpose of the African Union is to develop democracy, human rights and economy in Africa, reduce armed wars in Africa and finally build the United States of Africa.
