Barneys New York (Barneys, Barneys NY, Barneys for short) is a world-famous fashion high-end department store chain. Its flagship store is located on the Fifth Avenue of New York. It was founded by Mr. Barney Pressman in 1923 and mainly provides discount clothes of world-famous designer brands. In 1996, the department store filed for bankruptcy, and Jones Apparel Group acquired its shares.
