Korean Unification Ministry (Korean: 통일; English: Ministry of unification) is a special and famous state administrative organ of the Republic of Korea, which is specially responsible for the unification of the Korean Peninsula. Its predecessor was the land unification house established on March 1, 1969; it was renamed the unification house on December 27, 1990; it was reorganized into the Unification Ministry on February 28, 1998. The Minister of the Unification Ministry of the Republic of Korea is called the chief of the unification ministry and was appointed at the same time As State Councilor. The main responsibilities of the Department include: formulating policies related to North-South reunification, North-South dialogue, exchanges and cooperation, humanitarian support and so on; Manage the education, publicity and other related affairs of the unified cause.
