National grid Transco is the largest energy and utility company in the UK. It was formed by the merger of national grid, a British energy supplier, and lattice, a natural gas transporter, on April 27, 2002. National grid is a UK company mainly engaged in international energy transportation; Lattice was once part of British natural gas company, mainly engaged in natural gas transportation system.
