The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Kungliga vetenskapsakademien) is an independent non-governmental organization in Sweden. It was established in 1739 and has 10 departments of mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences is famous all over the world for its Nobel prize selection committee, and is also responsible for the selection of international awards such as the Crawford prize and the aiminov prize.
