Shinhan Bank of Korea

Shinhan Bank of Korea is one of the largest commercial banks in Korea and the wholly-owned holding bank of Shinhan financial group. Shinhan bank originated from hanseong bank established in February 1897; hanseong bank and dongil bank merged into Chohung bank in October 1943 (Chaoxing bank, the first bank in South Korea for a century); in April 2006, it was changed to its current name.
