Tu Braunschweig, fully known as Technische Universitaet carolo Wilhelmina Zu Braunschweig, was founded in 1745 by German Emperor Carl William II. It is a famous public university with a history of more than 300 years in Germany. It is the first Industrial University in Germany and the first university in Germany to set up engineering and natural science majors. It is subordinate to tu9 (the alliance of 9 polytechnic universities with the longest history, the highest reputation and the highest teaching and research level in Germany).
