Woori Bank is the only state-owned bank in South Korea and the second largest commercial bank in South Korea. It is subordinate to Youli financial group. It was established in 1899 and was initially called Hanhui bank. Later, it became its current name in 2002. On July 9, 1995, it entered China for the first time and opened a branch in Shanghai.
