Russian Federal Security Service（ Федеральная служба безопасности; ФСБ； UK: the Federal Security Service (FSB) is one of the "four major intelligence organizations in the world" (the other three are the CIA of the United States, the sixth military intelligence office of the United Kingdom and Mossad of Israel). It is mainly responsible for Russia's domestic security affairs, while Russia's foreign intelligence service (FIS) is responsible for foreign intelligence affairs. The predecessor of the FSB was the Soviet KGB.
