South African Airlines (SAA) is the largest airline in South Africa. Founded in 1934, it is headquartered in Johannesburg and its hub airports are Cape Town and Johannesburg. As one of the earliest state-owned airlines, South African Airlines always takes "customer first" as the purpose, is recognized as the "best African airline", and joined the Star Alliance in 2005.
