Qatar National Bank is the first commercial bank in Qatar and one of the largest banks in the Middle East and North Africa. It is listed on Bloomberg's list of the strongest banks in the world. It was established in Doha, the capital of Qatar National Bank in 1964 by Qatar Investment Authority and the private sector, with half of the shares respectively. The capital of Qatar National Bank is a subsidiary of Qatar National Bank Group.
