Philippine Liberal Party Partido liberal pilpinas is the ruling party in the Philippines and the oldest political party in the Philippines. It was split from the Kuomintang in November 1945 and founded by the fifth president of the Philippines, Manuel Rojas, in 1946. Its early members were mainly liberals split from the Philippine National Democratic Party. The current chairman is Philippine President Aquino III.
