Leeds Beckett university is a public university in the UK, located in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Its history can be traced back to the Leeds Institute of mechanics founded in 1824. It obtained the University qualification in 1992 and changed its current name in 2014 (formerly Leeds Metropolitan University).
