Teknillinen korkeakoulu is the oldest university of science and technology in Finland. Founded in 1849, it is one of the top universities of science and technology in Europe. In 2010, it merged with Helsinki School of economics and Helsinki University of art and design to become Alto University, renamed Aalto University School of science and technology.
