Aristotle University

In Thessaloniki, Aristotle University (commonly known as Aristotle University) is the largest university in Greece. It is named after the philosopher Aristotle. The campus covers an area of 230000 square meters, close to the center of Thessaloniki. Some educational and administrative facilities are located on campus for practical and operational reasons. At Aristotle University, there are more than 95000 undergraduate and graduate students, 86000 studying for bachelor's degree courses and 9000 studying for graduate courses. In addition, there are 2248 teaching and research staff (716 professors, associate professors, 506576 assistant professors, lecturers and 450), 84 science educators and 275 professional laboratory teaching staff. The main language used for teaching is modern Greek, but a considerable number of courses are for international students in English, French and German.
