T. J. Maxx (also known as TJ's), the largest discount retailer in the United States, and Marshall, the second largest discount retailer, are sister brands. Both belong to Tjx company. They were founded in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1976. Their stores are not only opened in the United States, but also in Britain, Ireland, Germany and Poland. By the end of 2012, they have a total of 343 stores in Europe.
